The NFMF Willamette  boaterX a grassroots, unique whitewater race to be held this weekend on the “miracle mile” section of the North Fork Middle Fork Willamette. The water level for the event is looking great and the weather should be sunny in the 60’s. Come enjoy the festivities.

I wanted to write my own instructional kayak book for a while now. There are only a few good books that teach kayaking to beginners. My first goal for the project is to design a visually oriented quick reference guide for complete whitewater beginners.

Kim and I are headed north to the East Fork of the Lewis in Washington this weekend to compete in the Northwest Creeking Competition. We’re going to be leaving Eugene Friday evening and arriving late. The event starts at 10:00am on Saturday. Check back Sunday, I’ll post results and photos from the event.
